Overview

Inventory Counting is a time-consuming, but critical operation for any business.  This article is aimed to help give you a general overview of the Inventory Counting process in Cloud Retailer.  Additional details and videos have been provided within the specific articles.


NOTE: This documentation refelects options available in versions previous to 4.6 of Cloud Retailer.  For documentation on later versions see here.



Procedure

  1. Create the Inventory Count
    • Define the scope of which Products you wish to count
  2. Understanding the Inventory Count Page
  3. Optional. Print the Inventory Count for offline counting
  4. Join the Inventory Count
    • Allow one or more users to add quantity information to the count
  5. Importing a file into an Inventory Count
    • Useful if using a "batch-style" scanner or a 3rd party counting firm
  6. Review & Finalize the Inventory Count
    • Review any outlying Products, then commit the updates to the system
