    First, a definition.  The External IP address is the IP address that you have on the greater Internet, as compared to the IP address that your computer has.

Procedure

The easiest way to find this is to go to Google.com and type in "what is my ip" without the quotes.  If Google is not a good option for you, the website ipchicken.com will give you the same information.
