Overview

This article covers many of the questions that you might have about how straight up pay works with Cloud Retailer.

Reconciliation Reporting

Cloud Retailer works closely with Straight Up Pay to give you the most up to date information on reconciling your data. Cloud Retailer downloads transaction data from Straight Up Pay every few hours to show when a transaction has been funded, and what deposit the transaction was deposited in. These reports are in the report menu if you search for Straight Up Pay, you will find three:

  • Straight Up Pay Reconciliation report - This report shows the individual transactions, if these transactions have been deposited, and what deposit the transaction was deposited through.
  • Straight Up Pay Deposit report - This report shows the individual deposit, with a link to the Straight Up Pay Reconciliation report to show all transactions that have been deposited on that deposit ID. This would include any fees being taken out as a separate deposit listed.
  • Straight Up Pay Chargeback report - This report shows the transactions where chargebacks have been initiated, this will include the reason for the chargeback and any fees incurred because of the chargeback.

Merchant Track

Your Cloud Retailer back office has a link that will bring you to merchant track directly. Merchant track has more reports and tools to know what is happening with your credit card sales. This is where you will go to find your statement, you can also run credit card transactions, and see signatures on the transaction. To get to Merchant Track, first the user that you are logged in as must have the following information filled out in the employee settings:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

If the above are filled out, to get to merchant track, click on the Tools menu and click on Merchant Track. Keep in mind you can control who has access to Merchant Track and what access they have. This can be done by managing the user's role.

Returns

For the first six months when coming on board with Straight Up Pay, you will be able to do "unlinked" returns. What this means is you will be able to do a return on a credit card without looking up the past receipt of the transaction. When this time is up, you will have to look up the original transaction in order to do a return. If you are a store that does bottle deposits, and cannot look up past transactions to do the bottle deposit return, please contact us, there will be a new form to fill out, once the form is filled out, we will send the form into the processor to get this taken care of.

Batch cut off

Straight up pay features next day funding. The batch cut off by default happens each day at 8:05PM CST. This means that any transaction that happens before 8:05PM CST will be funded the following business day, and any transaction that happens after 8:05PM CST will be delayed by a day. If you would like this time changed to line up more with your closing time, we can do that. Keep in mind if we push the cut off time to after 8:05PM CST then all transactions that are on the batch will take two days to fund.
